Why is combat and violence seen as barbaric/immature?

It's fun during the combat, but not after when someone dies. That's if your talking about war. If its like karate or boxing, i don't think people see that as barbaric. When two people fight on the street, that's barbaric because people usually get hurt and there is no safety. You might not, but most do. Also, people are educated better nowadays and they realize that it's just easier to talk it out, resolve the conflict, and get on with your life. :)
