What is lethal voltage and current? i once got electrocuted from a wall socket.?

one time when i was a kid living in holland, i got a metal wire and put it into a wall socket, and this spark came out and burned the carpet a bit. then i tried to pull it out and was getting electrocuted, i couldnt move for like 5 seconds but i managed to let go. i believe europe gets 220V out of a wall socket. just wondering what is a lethal amount. maybe if i held on longer it would have killed me?
