Why are liberals simpletons and think simply raising taxes will generate more income?

over the years there has been no correlation between raising taxes and increasing tax revenues. The tax revenues remain about the same regardless of the tax rates. If it was as simple raising rates to make more money all businesses would have to do to make more money is raise their prices which we all know doesnt work. when are liberals going to wake up from the socialist utopia unreachable dreams that dont work
